Steps to restore deleted photos from Google Drive

Step : 1

Open the Google Drive app on your device. Then, head to the “Trash” folder.

Step : 2

In the ” Trash” folder, you will find all your recently deleted files. To restore them just right click on the file, following which a menu will pop-up with 2 options; ” Restore” and ” Delete forever”.

Step : 3

Meanwhile, mobile users need to tap on the 3- dot button to get the restore button.

Step : 4

Now, choose the ” Restore” option. This will return the file to it’s original location.

Interestingly, Google Drive users can also contact a Drive specialist if they are unable to recover any file. Users can even call or chat with the company.

Points to Note :
1. You can restore files from your trash just before the 30-day window. Therefore, if you deleted them more than 30 or 60 days ago, you won’t be able to restore them.

2. You can even permanently delete your files to empty your trash.

Steps to restore deleted photos from Google Photos

Step : 1

Open the Google Photos app on your android smartphone.

Step : 2

You’ll see a “Library” tab at the bottom of the screen. Tap on it.

Step : 3

On the next page, you will see a “Trash” floder on the top. Click on it to check out all your deleted photos.

Step : 4

Now, to restore, touch & hold the file ( photo or video ). Then, tap on the option “Restore”. The video or photo will be return to it’s original location.

Points to Note :
Google Photos trash folder also has a 60 days’ time window. So, if, by any chance, you’re unable to locate your file in the trash folder, you may have emptied your trash.
